Join the Mission Inn Foundation in honoring Gordon Bourns at the 2018 Frank Miller Civic Achievement Award. MIF is proud to recognize Gordon Bourns for outstanding civic leadership, service, and support to the community, in the tradition of Frank Miller, Founder of the Mission Inn.

In the mode of Frank Miller, Gordon’s involvement in community affairs is legendary.  He is a champion for STEM Education (Science & Technology, Engineering, & Math) and sponsors the annual two-day STEP Conference.  He serves as a member of the Riverside Police Department Foundation Board, the Board of Advisors for UC Riverside’s Bourns College of Engineering, and CFO for the School Board of Riverside Christian School.  He received the Inland Empire Boy Scouts Distinguished Citizen of the Year Award, the Spirit Award for Lifetime Achievement from CSU San Bernardino, and the Father of the Year Award by the American Diabetes Association. In 2015, Gordon received Mayor Bailey’s Riverside Spirit Award. More recently, as Chief Executive Officer of Bourns Engineering, he led the company through its 70th Anniversary in 2017 and established the Gordon and Jill Bourns College of Engineering at California Baptist University.

SOLD OUT! You are invited to help us recognize Gordon in a special banquet ceremony at the Grand Parisian Ballroom at the Mission Inn Hotel & Spa. The evening will include a three-course plated dinner service, performance by the Raincross Master Chorale, the Pledge of Allegiance led by the Riverside Police Explorers, and a special tribute prepared by RUSD.
