Event Date: April 2, 2017
In 1907, famed naturalist and environmental advocate John Muir visited Riverside and ascended Mount Rubidoux to enjoy the view. Mr. Muir spent many of his adventures in California's Sierra Nevada mountain range, and helped preserve the Yosemite Valley and Sequoia National Park. Celebrate Earth Day (coming up on April 22) and Mr. Muir's love of the natural world by making your own colorful, tie-dyed butterfly using special filter paper, markers, and water. Families participating in the activity are welcome to enjoy a free 30-minute family-friendly exterior tour of the Mission Inn given by our Youth Ambassadors.
