The Mission Inn Run is a premier event for the Riverside community and Southern California region. The Mission Inn Run was started in 1977 by community volunteers to benefit the nonprofit Mission Inn Foundation, and continues to be a labor of love for the community, the Mission Inn Foundation and Museum. We work with regional businesses, community service groups, schools, and over 350 volunteers to provide a family-oriented, healthy activity that showcases the historic beauty of downtown Riverside to the over 4,000 participants and an on-site audience of 15,000!
The goal of the Mission Inn Run is raise funds for the Mission Inn Foundation’s many services to the community, including our expanded education programming in the under served neighborhoods of Riverside. Proceeds from the Run support the award-winning Hands On History outreach program, Youth Ambassadors, First Sundays, museum exhibitions, and other educational programs.

Please note that the Mission Inn Run reserves the right to reject any entry. Also, we adhere to the standard marathon running industry policy. All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. This is noted on our registration application, and when you register for any of our events you must agree to this policy. You may not alter, reproduce, give or sell your number to another individual – if you do this could result in your disqualification as well as the runner who uses your race number. The entry fee for this year's event will NOT transfer to next year's event, no exceptions. This policy stays in effect whether you are injured, have an unexpected business or family emergency, pregnancy, etc. There are NO exceptions. If you are unable to attend the event, your fees will be a donation to the nonprofit organization, the Mission Inn Foundation.
**Wheelchairs- Portions of the course are un-paved and take place along the Santa Ana River Trail. As a precaution and for safety reasons, we do not offer a wheelchair or hand cycle division.
