Of Love and Evil
Anne Rice returns to the mesmerizing storytelling that has captivated readers for more than three decades in a tale of unceasing suspense set in time past—a metaphysical thriller about angels and assassins. Best known for her Vampire Chronicles books, which includes Interview with the Vampire, author Anne Rice used the Historic Mission Inn Hotel as a backdrop for her Songs of the Seraphim series, including book one, Angel Time, and book two, Of Love and Evil. Rice, who hails from New Orleans but now resides in nearby Rancho Mirage (Palm Springs), first visited the Mission Inn shortly after moving to Southern California in 2006. It was on her first visit to the Inn in which the author says she “fell in love” with the hotel and decided to use it as a setting for her series.
